Clearwell Caves visit

On one of the hottest days of the year members spent a fascinating two hours underground in Clearwell Caves…at a chilly 10c ..admiring the location itself and the skill of the sculptors who had created 56 outstanding pieces. “Back to the cave” is a short lived exhibition curated by Rungwe Kingdon ,director of the Pangolin Foundary , that shows works of art in a unique surrounding. Following Rungwe’s passionate guided tour we moved to the significantly warmer home of John and Mary Thurston in Lydney where we were treated to a most enjoyable supper.
