Presentation to the Best ATC Unit - 2419 (Quedgeley) Sqn

On Monday 5 December the Warden, Lt Col Andrew Tabor, accompanied by Col Andy Hodson, Chairman of the Armed Forces Group (AFG) of The Honourable Company, and Major Robert Wharton, Vice-Chairman for Gloucestershire of the Wessex Reserve Forces & Cadets Association visited 2419 (Quedgeley) Sqn RAFAC (formerly the Air Training Corps) and had the pleasure of presenting a cheque from the Company’s charity for £500. This is awarded to the unit adjudged by the AFG to be the best RAFAC (ATC) unit in the County in 2022.

The unit is led by WO Tammy Curwen and Adult Volunteer Paul Rutherford. They with other members of staff put newly enlisted cadets through their paces on command tasks and supervised more senior cadets training on IT. Many of the cadets are ambitious to become the RAF pilots of the future.
