Cut the Mustard

The Warden recently presented a cheque for £1000 from the Charitable Trust to Hana Brierley of Cut the Mustard Club CIC.   Cut the Mustard Club inspires disadvantaged and socially marginalised young people by encouraging them to take part in outdoor extra-curricular activities, focusing on wellbeing through nature in gardening workshops.   It is inclusive to all and has worked with a number of specialist schools in South Gloucestershire, as well as primary and secondary schools in Gloucestershire.  As a not-for-profit CIC, any profits are re-invested into their workshops to have the most impact on young people. They spend as little as possible by re-using and recycling gardening and craft products, and relying on charitable and second-hand donations.
