Michael Jones, Trustee and also Assistant Warden of The Honourable Company of Gloucestershire, and Steve Wood, Treasurer, present a cheque to Laura Kinnear, Curator of Holst Victorian House Trust, in support of the Holst 150 birthday celebrations.
The olst Victorian House CharityHolst Victorian House Trust, maintains, promotes and continues the development of a museum and period house dedicated to Gustave Holst and his music.
The grant was given to support the community celebrations marking the 150th birthday of the composer who was born in Cheltenham in 1874.
Cultural partners in Cheltenham have come together to arrange a suite of celebrations between June and November 2024. Activities will include concerts, plays. Exhibitions community curated projects.
The celebrations will culminate in a free community event, The Holst 150 Birthday Party in Imperial Gardens on Holst’s birthday on Saturday 21st September 2024.
