The Company held its annual dinner on 16th April 2026, in the dining hall of Cheltenham College.
62 members and guests attended.
Guests of the Company included the Mayor of Cheltenham (Cllr Dr David Willingham), the Dean of Gloucester (The Very Reverend Andrew Zihni), the High Master of the Worcester Clothiers Company (Mr John Gibson) and the headmaster of Cheltenham College (Mr. Christopher Townsend). The latter was our after-dinner speaker, who spoke on “the place of independent education in the 2020s and beyond”.
The Warden, Mr. Michael Jones, took the opportunity to thank the outgoing Clerk, Colonel Phil Robson, for his eight years of service to the Company. The incoming Clerk, Dr. Paul Massey, proposed the loyal toast, and the Bishop’s Grace was spoken by the Junior Warden, Mrs. Ruth Dooley.
