Visit to Stroudwater Textiles Trust Museum

Another fascinating evening -where the weather was kind to us – exploring the beginnings of the textile industry in the Stroud vallies. We learnt about the history of Egypt Mill, walked along the track of the old railway line between Nailsworth and Stroud and then discovered how the industry that once provided work for thousands still survives today. Do visit Dunkirk Mill and the small but perfectly formed Stroudwater Textile Trust museum.
