Once again the weather was kind for our visit to the grade one listed gardens at Westonbirt House. Created by Robert Holford between 1840 and 1885 the house and gardens were once part of the same estate as their more famous neighbour…the Arboretum. Knowledgeable guides lead us through the picturesque landscape before refreshments were taken in an impressive Italian pavilion … a first for the Honourable Company I believe!?
