The Lord Lieutenant, Edward Gillespie, presided over a ceremony at Hartpury University on 4 July to present 17 Honourable Company of Gloucestershire awards to craft apprentices. The Warden, Michael Jones, commented. “I am proud to say that we have now given 46 awards totaling £23k, which exceeds the original donation by Anne Cadbury, however, I am pleased to say that we can continue for at least a few more years due to generous donations from members of the Company.
The Warden’s goal is to raise additional funds, in order to extend these awards to all Gloucestershire’s craft apprentices. Bryony, Anne Cadbury’s daughter, said that “Mum would be delighted with our progress.”
