On 17 April Andrew Tabor visited Mitcheldean Community Larder to present a cheque for £900, granted by the Trustees at their March meeting.
The Larder opened its doors at the beginning of 2026 and it has been quite a learning curve! It has a steering group of volunteers who are involved in the planning and decision making. They help with just about everything – from shopping, fundraising, planning events, and discussing how the Larder will move forward, to making teas/coffees and helping to set up and put away every Friday morning.
Since the Larder has opened it has provided approximately 1,970 kilos of food over 390 shops by their membership, which currently stands at 64.
They were very grateful for the grant which will be used to help with the cost of food, etc., for the Larder.
