Presentation to Cheltenham Festivals

Cheltenham Festivals is a registered charity serving local, national and international audiences, delivering four internationally acclaimed Festivals (Jazz, Science, Music and Literature) each year. The Festivals engage adults, families and school children for 31 days a year through ticketed events and workshops, free drop-in activities, interactive zones and an Around Town programme in a collective offer of around 1,000 events.

Cheltenham Festivals applied to the HCG Charitable Trust for £1000 to support their annual Concert for Schools as part of the Cheltenham Music Festival in July 2023.  The concert enables up to 600 children in Gloucestershire to experience the joy of live music in a special event designed for them and is followed by Music Explorer sessions where every pupil gets the chance to have a go on three different orchestral instruments – a thrilling first for many. It also serves as a platform to signpost children to the range of music tuition and music-making opportunities in the county.
