Headspace

At its March meeting The Honourable Company of Gloucestershire Charitable Trust awarded £700 to Headspace. Duncan Munro, Trustee, visited the charity in Bourton on the Water and learnt more about its origins, the services it provides and the challenges it currently faces.   He presented the cheque to Helen Sharman, Head of Services, and members of her team.

Headspace is a charity dedicated to ensuring that every young person in the North Cotswolds has access to the mental health and wellbeing support they need. They work closely with schools, families, and community partners to deliver impactful interventions that address mental health challenges.

They had asked the Trust for a grant to fund one of their five structured wellbeing programmes to ensure young people continue receiving vital support.  The sessions offer therapeutic and resilience-building activities to support young people’s mental health.  They help young people manage anxiety, build emotional resilience, and improve their overall mental wellbeing. The sessions are facilitated by trained professionals and tailored to address the challenges faced by young people.
